Sebastopol City Council member Neysa Hinton is likely to keep her seat for a third term after taking a wide lead in early returns Tuesday night.
City Climate Action Committee member Phill Carter also appeared headed to take the second of the two seats up for grabs in Tuesday’s election.
Hinton held a substantial margin — 49% compared to 30.2% for her nearest challenger, Phill Carter, based on 67% of the total potential votes counted, according to preliminary results released shortly after polls closed at 8 p.m.
